Silsila-e-Owaisia

There is a misconception among the people that Owaisi are offspring of Hazrat Khuwaja Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu). The offspring of Quraish are called Quraishim the offspring of Banu Hashim are Hashmi. The offspring of Hazrat Siddique e Akbar (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu) is called Siddique. The offspring of Hazrat Umar Farooq (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu) is called Farooqi. In the same way people believe Owaisi are offspring of Hazrat Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu) which is wrong.

Hazrat Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu) devoted his all life to the worship of Allah. He didn't marry in his life so he had no children. You remained away from the people and kept your self hidden. He had a promise with Allah to keep him hidden on the judgment day. He accepted Islam without any one's preaching. No one had to convince him to accept Islam. He accepted Islam deliberately.

When Islam was lighting the world and illuminated Yaman. Hazrat Owais Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu) without any one efforts accepted Islam as true religion and your heart said that Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him) is Allah's Prophet and the true guide. You not only believed Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him) the prophet but also found a great love for him within your heart. You became one of the fine followers of Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him). Allah directly illuminated your heart with the light of Islam and your love for Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him) increased. Allah and his prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him) only knew the feelings of Hazrat Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu). Therefore, Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him) often said towards Yaman that.

"I smell (feel) Rehman from Yaman"

Hazrat Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu) is the founder of Silsila e Owaisia. It is due to your sunnat a term "Owaisia" is used in Sufism that means to be blessed a degree of Wilayat from Allah without the guide of spiritual saint (peer). The above is a quotation of Hazrat Khuwaja Muhammad Parsa (Rehmat Ullah Ale). (Risala e Qudsiya). The Ulmas and mashaikh have the views regarding that. Hazrat Shaikh Fareed Urdin (Rehmat Ullah Ale) narrated in 'Gulzar e Abrar' that "Owaisi are those Aulia who are not guided by peer because they are directly given the guidance by Rasool Allah (Blessing and peace be upon him) like Hazrat Owais e Qarni who was guided without any apparent guide. Hazrat Shah Wali Ullah explained the term Owaisia as follows in the book 'Hamaat'.

Sisila e Owaisia is attributed with the deep lover of Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him) Madani, Taoss Yamni Hazrat Khuwaja Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu). In Tasawuf the term 'Nisbat e Owaisia' means a kind of relation with a person without an apparent meeting. The peson who wants to make this spiritual relation meets the desired person in a dream or by Murakba (mediation). Following are the other explanations of Silsila e Owaisia.

  1. One who attends the status Wali by following Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him)
  2. One who gets the Faiz (spirituality) through Hazrat Khizr (Ale Salam)
  3. One who was guided by a Kamil (absolute accomplished) that was blessed Wilayat without middle source.
  4. One who has faith in saint of Silsila e Owaisia.

Hazrat Sultan Ul Ashqeen had a Muraqba and found Hazrat Khuwaja Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu). Hazrat took bait of Hazrat Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu) and Hazrat Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu) blessed him with the same spiritual power that he had. Sultan Ul Tarkeen Hazrat Khuwaja Muhakam Ud din Seyrani (Rehmat Ula'aleh) had affection and deep respect for Sultan Ul Ashqeen (Rehmat Ula'aleh) and Hazrat Khizar (Ale Salam), therefore, Hazrat Khizr blessed Hazrat Khuwaja Muhakam Ud din Seyrani (Rehmat Ula'aleh). Hazrat Khuwaja Muhakam Ud din Seyrani (Rehmat Ula'aleh) strived to follow Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him) in his every bit of life therefore he was guided and supported by the presence of Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him)

Silsila e Owaisia is based on the principles of 'Hosh Waram', 'Khilwat' and 'Anjman'(that all are defined below).

'Hosh warm' is and active principle in silsila e Nakshbandia is well. It means that human should be in touch with Allah all the time, He should not forget his Allah Almighty even for an instance. Khilwat and Anjuman means that physically a human may look busy with his fellows around him but spiritually he is apart from them. Means physically he may look mingle with every one but actually he is alone.

Hazrat Shah Jalal ud Din Muhammad Jafri Owaisi quoted a hadees in his book which is translated below.

"Be among people physically but apart from them spiritually".

A few people declare believers and true followers of Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him) and Auliay Karam Mushrik and Bidati. They declared the miracles of Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him) zaif hadees and discard them.

They also argue that Hazrat Khuwaja Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu) is just a hypothetical personality and has nothing to do with the reality. As the existence of Silsila e Owaisia is with the existence of Hazrat Khuwaja Owais e Qarni (Razi Ala Tal'la Anhu). Therefore I would like to quote the recent incident that will show that how Hazrat Muhammad (Blessing and peace be upon him), Sahaba e Karam, and all great personalities of Islam are spiritually alive, help their believers and guide them. Those who a great philosopher and bureaucrat Qudrat Ullah shahab mentioned in his famous book. It will be enough for those who discard the after-death miracle. It can not be said that this quotation is zaif (weak statement) because Shahab sahib got this published by himself. In 1999 the 20th edition of the book was published by this you can understand how famous this book is. Shahab Sahib said that: Once I went to a far area there was an old mosque. When I went there to perform namaz-e-juma. A less educated Khatib was saying a very long khutba in urdu that khutba was full of past strange stories. Few of them were funny and few amazing but one of them was the story was that real that it touched my heart. That story was about a father and daughter love. That father was Hazrat Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) and daughter was Hazrat Fatima (Razi Allah Ta'ala Anha). That khatib said: when Hazrat Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) did not use to accept the request of the most senior Sahaba. They used to request Hazrat Fatima (Razi Allah Ta'ala Anha) to grant to request Hazrat Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) to grant their request. Hazrat Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) used to love Hazrat Fatima (Razi Allah Ta'ala Anhu) a lot that you often used to accepted what she requested. I had no choice but to accept this story. After performing namaz-e-juma I started performing nawafil in the mosque. I perform some nawafil with intention of essal (pass the sawab) of Hazrat Fatima (Razi Allah Ta'ala Anhu). Then I prayed to Allah with all my concentration towards him that "Allah I don't know whether the story is right or wrong but I know that Your Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) has great love for his beloved daughter Hazrat Fatima (Razi Allah Ta'ala Anha). Therefore O Allah I request you to allow the pious soul of Hazrat Fatima (Razi Allah Ta'ala Anha) to present my request before Hazrat Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him). The request is that I am looking for the right path but not able to follow that path. If there is any existence of Silsila-e-Owaisia so with the help of Allah bless me with this silsila".

After that I never told any one about that incident and forgot that. After six or seven weeks I received a letter from my aunty who used to live very far. She had accepted the Islam and used to follow it to her best. She further wrote that, 'The other night I had the good fortune to see Hazrat Fatimah (Rade Allah Ho Unho) daughter of the HOLY PROPHET (PEACE BE UPON HIM) in my deram.she talked to me most graciously and said, Tell your brother-in-law Qudrat ullah Shahab, that I have submitted his request to my exalted father who has very kindly accepted it'.

I got so amazed that I lost my sense. I was thinking how fortunate I was that I was discussed in the presence of Hazrat Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) and his beloved daughter Hazrat Fatima (Rade Allah Ho Anho). What a great father and what a great daughter. That incident had a great impact on me. I remained in my room for some days

After that I saw some great saints in my dreams for many times. I did not know them and didn't understand what they used to say. Then one night I saw a great spiritual saint who was in Ahram and performing Tawaf-e-Kabba with his full concentration. I was deeply inspired by him. He also paid attention towards me, and smiled. He made me sit at a place situated out of Mataf near Hateem then he said, 'my name is Bakhtiar Kaki'. He further said, 'you do not belong to our world (spiritual world) but I was ordered by that that we all follow'.

Hazrat Bakhtia Qaqi (Rehmat Ullah Alehe) brought a bowl before me which had some thing edible. He suddenly asked me to choose one of lives whether this life or the life after death. I proved to be greedy. My heart strayed me and made me realized that this question is an offer to die instantly. I had a bad wish to live more. I was deceived by my heart and answer his question in that way, 'Hazrat I want to live a little bit this life and little bit that'. As I said that a black dog came from my left and started eating from that bowl. Hazrat Bakhtia Qaqi (Rehmat Ullah Alehe) smiled and said unfortunately, you could not avail that precious offer. Your nafs (evil soul) has great command on you. You need mujahid (a practice to reduce the desires). I didn't see any dream after that for a long time. I got deep disappointed. I thought I lost everything after getting that. I thought to suicide. I also made a planed to suicide in the stream. I sat on the corner of the bridge to jump in the stream, but could not gather the confidence to jump in and retuned home safely. I spent three hard months in the same state.9th June is one of the most important days of my life. That date I received a letter of ninety. I don't know ninety I just know his nick that is 'ninety'. I communicated with him through letter once. His first letter was stamped as follows.

"June 9,Jammu Market 9.30 A.M."

The postman delivered the letter on the same date at 12pm. Postal system was that slow that it was impossible to receive a letter in afternoon that was posted in the morning.

That letter was consisted of thirteen (13) pages. It described the facts about me in details. Few of which were known to me and my Allah Almighty only. That letter was composed in difficult and highly complicated English language. I had to see the dictionary again and again. Half portion of that letter pointed out my mistakes and other half portion consisted of suggestions and directions for future. At the end the following was written.

'A. Ninety years young Faqir'

I was ordered to answer the questions, asked in the letter, and keep them in the cupboard. I did that immediately. After a while when I opened the cupboard, the letter was disappeared. I found the reply of my letter below my pillow. At the end of the letter instead of 'A ninety years young faqir' only 'Ninety' was written. I was so nervous and scared. I went insane for a while. When ninety found me helpless and feeble, he helped me through my younger brother Habib Ullah Shahab. Habib company gave me confidence. That strange communication between ninety and me continued for approximately twenty five years through letters. We used to communicate on daily basis. Sometimes I received four letters in one night. Habib was the post office. When I wanted to send the letter, I used to keep it in the cupboard, in my pocket or in the book. Ninety's letters used to found me any where.

I was ordered to dispose off the letters as soon as possible, after receiving them. I was allowed to note down the instruction given in the letters in my own words. I always discarded the letters except once. That letters would mean nothing to others One day I thought, I should tear ninety's signature paper piece from the letter and save it.

As the letter was one of the precious things of my life. But that night I was announced to punish severely for that desire. A paper appeared in the air and it came down. It was written that if save any part of those letters then I will be tight up with snake in dark. After hearing that cruel punishment I changed my mind. I completely avoided that idea. I apologized and wrote a verse of Ghalib in English and kept it in the cupboard.

Then I received Ninety's reply. He said, 'Ha Ha! You scared from snacks. Coward man! I excuse you. He reminded me that the grave will be full with lizards including snacks. You will not be able to apologize there and even if you do it will not be accepted. You are in dark. You don't know millions of snacks are waiting for you. They are eager to eat you. By NINETY.

One day I asked my guide (Ninety), who you are? Where are you? What do you do? What status of spiritually are you blessed? I was answered your first three questions are stupid. You will never find answer of these questions. As far as your third question is concerned that are different stages of spirituality. Sometimes we have to pass through very difficult situations and achieve mile stones. No one knows the stage he has achieved. Some one is behind someone ahead. Only one person has got the greatest status and that is Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa. You talk a lot about that person but did you ever tried to follow him? If you had followed him you would have been someone. That was my Silsila-e-Owaisia which I followed for an instance. That was my guide for a very short time. You have read that

That all shows the presence of the Silsila-e-Owaisia. As you read that Mr. Shahab requested Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salat O Salam), through Hazrat Fatima (Radi Ala Tal'la Anho), to show him the reality of Silsila-e-Owaisia

The reply to the request of Mr. Shahab, the request of Mr. Shahab, the way Hazrat Fatima (Radi Ala Tal'la Anho) proceed the request to Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salat O Salam), the way Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salat O Salam) granted that request, and how Hazrat Fatima (Radi Ala Tal'la Anho) informed Mr. Shahab, through a new muslim women. That all proves that all Muslims saints and pious personalities are well informed about the requests of their followers and helped them.

The summary of the above discussion is that the person who is blessed by Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salat O Salam), Hazrat Khizar (Ale Salam) or any blessed saints of Islam, is Owaisi. All the Mureed (members) of Silsila-e-Owaisia are Owaisi.
